I love the low poly tools that 3DSMax is capable of.... I am an animator and compositor by trade.

I have succesfully exported both a 3DS and a MD3 (using Pop-n-Fresh). However, when I import a low-poly 3DS or MD3 into Radiant.... no textures

I know that my mapping speeds and object-complexities will quantum-leap forward given, just, the extrude and bevel modifiers. Also, my poly-count will be so low, too!

Could a Pro, having integrated and implemented 3DSMax and the Radiant hyrbids for mapping, please, answer these questions:

(1) Do I need to add a UVW Modifier (which exact one or should there be more than one?)?

(2) Will I need to manipulate the actual MD3 file by "hand"?

(3) I would seriously consider upgrading to R5 (I use R3.1) if someone can confirm that they have been able to utilize the "Baking" of textures????

(4) Do I need another tool to help massage these files (ie 3DS & MD3) along their way into Radiant?

(5) Lastly, even in the best-case scenario.... would I use 3DSMax to map the entire Level or just ornamentals and decorations?

Any help you offer will be greatly appreciated, and, you can trust I will help just the same in the future!

Thanks in advance!
