Currently have a totally unusable computer because of the new Nvidia drivers. Have a GeForce 4200Ti, crashes my comp. everytime I enter a SOF2 server. Will have to try testing different drivers on it.

I've been using this. This will definately work. Juste hated when I have to install the new drivers to play new games and have to roll it back to that one when I want to play Sof2. Oh yeah, hows COP, funny things are happening huh

U gotta downgrade your drivers if u don't want PB to crash anymore.. PB is a whole lot better than no Anti Cheat at all.

this is your problem right here.

the 5x.xx series are optimized for GF-FX. they use a hybrid DX8/DX9 codepath to make DX9 games run faster , but anything else runs like shite. not just COD. everything.

unless you are playing HALO everyday in DX9 mode then there's no need for 5x.xx drivers on any card (IMO) and if you have a GF4Ti especially, then you can't make use of the 5x.xx drivers anyways, because your card can't even render the DX9 codepath

you need 41.09 or 44.03 for your GF4Ti. the 5x.xx series will only slow you down and cause problems (like you are seeing now in COD)

right now I have a GF4Ti runnning 41.09 , and a GF-FX5900 running 44.03.
I won't touch the 5x.xx drivers with a barge pole.
I've tried them on my GF-FX5900 and the only performance gain was in HALO, but every other game runs like shite, and thats not what I bought the card for. I don't play much Halo. but I DO play a lot of Tribes2 (which runs at 1/4 framerate under 5x.xx compared to 4x.xx)*
(even on my GF-FX!!)

*granted, Tribes2 is a ####ed-up piece of code to begin with,
but (IMO) you should always use the best drivers for what you actually PLAY.

and for a GF4Ti .. which doesn't even support the 5x.xx series anyways .. ALL your games will play better under 44.03. <not just COD>
