Curious.

Whats your honor? What are you qualified as?

(incase you don't know, AAO is a free FPS game made by the US Army. Its ultra-reallistic, using the Unreal 2 engine)

I hadn't played AAO for a long time, since v1.2 I think. I didn't like it then, but last week I downloaded 2.0a. I have pasted all the basics, plus Airborne, Ranger, and Special Forces. But my honor is stuck at 10.

Why is is stuck at 10? Because my computer will crash after 30 secends to 5 minutes of playing on a Punkbuster enabled server. I get a lovely blue screen and have to reset my computer. I can play for hours without PB, but unofficial servers don't give honor.

It's really annoying, there are many topics about this issue on the AA forums, but know one has a real solution.

Haven't played in about a year, just recently installed 2.0a - qualified as everything except Special Forces (working on that now).  Have no clue what my honor is.

ive been playing the game since the day it came out, but not often, here and there, once a month, it was hard getting used to , very different flavor then SOF2. But when the SF version came out, I was in love. I got really good and I play a lot more often. I worked my honor in 3 days from 10 to 21. I did more in 3 days then i did in a year and a half playing that game. The SF training (the last part) was really #### hard but I passed and using the SF weapons is really fun.

We just setup an AAO serv at Fraggers but its unofficial though. I dont care too much about honor anymore, I have 30 now.  We gets lots of people joining the serv with and without a lot of honor, so its all good.

my fav maps is weapons cache (+ se), radio tower, and sf_hospital

Yeah, I find it to be a lot slower than SOF2, and I am not big on round-based games anyway.  I don't like sitting out and watching other people play.  That's why I don't play dem or inf in SOF2.

I do remember one fun AAO round, it was on that woods map where you have to rescue the hostage in the middle of the compound.  I was on the defending team, and I moved up the middle and let 4-5 of the opposing team walk past, then I got behind them and followed them all the way to the compound and waited for them to start shooting.  Once they did, I picked 'em off one by one from behind, and they didn't even know I was there. :D  But normally I just get killed in the first 30 seconds.  :(

Oh, and I just checked - my honor is 10.

####, thats slick. In SF Hospital sometimes i wait in the garage until i see the VIP trying to escape with some escorts. Usually I'll see the escorts first, since they are running faster cuz they are (usually) not injured. I wait until I see the limpin ass VIP... take him out and then take out the escorts that turn around like 'wtf?'

and yea, waiting around for a round to end is lame, but its only as worse as how early you get killed. Thats your incentive right there not to die .

Well I Installed 2.0 a couple of weeks ago and I had to redo all the training...(training sux btw :p ), its a cool game but its to slow for my liking and I'm not a big fan of round based games either. I hate waiting...and also the latest AA version runs like crap! I have a xp1800+ and gf2 ti wich can run any game that has come out lately..I'll stick to Call of Duty for now  :p

awwww.  you should give it another shot. Once you finish the basic training ( i think the last is the live jump) then you can play online MP.
