I got the exact same error. I had saved the map in the one name "alpha" for about five hours work of aligning walls.. Had to do it all again.. Now I save to a different name every 30 mins... My maps 65% done..

yeah every now and then, when I compile and all is good, I right click + drag the map, choose copy here.. that way I have a few copies along the way for that fatal moment.. I've tried autoarchiving it and such but it seems the only true way is to make the occasional backup by hand..

Way long ago, I thought you could have multiple copies of a file in a zip file.. a sort of revision type flag was to be set.. can't find anything along those lines with winrar.. anyone shed some light if winzip or winrar has this functionality still in it? :ohwell:
