I wanted to get a copy of sof2 for my stepson this Christmas.  Every place in my town that sells software was out of em.  Most of the retailers tell me that it isn't a popular enough game to keep stocked on their shelves.  BAH!

I tell them when I log on to multiplayer......   there are dozens if not hundreds of servers with bunches of peeps on them.

I guess what I am getting at is this:

SoF2 is getting older in the PC gaming world.  Is Raven going to make a SoF3???????  Anyone got any inside info they are willing to share??

Easy to buy it online... good price.

SOF3?

Probably isn't in the immediate plans with Quake 4 being worked on.

But I would not be surprised if it turns up down the road.

Have you tried Call of Duty?  If not... buy it!

Thanks for the imput dysfunctional, but I am more interested in sof3 than I am COD.  I did d/l the COD demo and the graphics are spectacular, but the multiplayer seems to lack something, from what I read in the reviews anyway.

I can get a copy of sof2 from ebay even cheaper than the link you gave, I just don't feel right about buying sof2 online with such a fussy product key, even from a reputible place.  If I get it local and the key doesn't work, it's easier to take it back without having to pay S&H again.

well, sof2 isn't that popular, it never really was very popular either, but its a great game and getting it online is the easiest way to find games like sof2

There are some very nice realism servers out there on COD.  They remove the crosshair and force you to use "iron" while aiming.  As a result, SOF2 is now off of my hard drive.  After aiming down the barrel in COD,  going back to shottie bunny-hopping with SOF2 is not in the cards for me.

Oh sure, there is some hopping in COD; but after the patch that will go away too.

SOF2 was so close... but just didn't have the follow-thru.

This is the first time since the early 90's that I haven't had at least one Ravensoft game on my hard drive.

The real question is who gave up on whom?
