ok, having probs on our server, got 2 guys on one key, there brothers, both live same place, ok lets say #1 is the older bro #2 is the younger one, they have 2 comps


ok #1 is in our server, and is playing, complaining and ******* all the time, an admin temp bans him, #2 wants to play on the same server but cant, so complain on the clan site to unban him, next day #1 and #2 are on the same key in the server, isnt that copy right infringement? even tho they are family???  

Yes it is copyright theft providing that they are playing from different PC's.

The EULA for software will usually state that your license permits you to install and use on ONE computer only. Licenses are never based per person, but per machine.

normally I wouldn't agree to theft at all, I'm a big promoter of if you download the game and like it - buy it!

in this case, however, I feel that Raven (or any other party bound into the EULA) would not mind brothers playing on two pc's. I doubt very much that the mother would buy two copies - I feel Raven (etc) would be happier knowing that both people in this case are enjoying the product, and not particularly harming the software industry.

ya borthers part is fine wit me too, but my brotehr was banned on my key once (not perm) but i couldnt get in, so i decided to buy a notehr copy so if he got banned tough S*** lol, but with them, the guy gave his key out to somone else and they both use it. thx ketamininja i knew it was illegal in some form

i usually go buy the rule that you can use it as much as you want in one house,, and i have never been sued yet :P

Doesn't make it any less against the law.... just cos I get away with owning several hooky copies of software and lots of MP3s doesn't make it right by the law
It's just difficult to enforce.
