ok i am trying to set up a server but no-one can see it, i have 2 pc's on a lan .the server being last in the line, and the other pc to the internet. now when i set up the server i can access it easily over a local connection, but noone else can see it (gets kinda lonely) so u say ooo he has a router and he needs to tell the router to enable packets to go back and forth. in other words i have to open the ports. but when i do this i can actuall find it and add it to favs by typing in the ip address (in game) which suggests maybe its actually on but still noone can find it.
someone said there is something with ravens server that wont allow routers to work .. is this right??
if any one has any advice or can direct me to a usefull website i will be most gratefull :s9:

Would you not have to set up NAT to get it to accept connections to port 29070 on the pc running the game?

i have the router forwarding the port 29070 to pc2 the server, but the game server is refusing connections, what is the port/s that the game runs on, and are there any bits that need to be added to a server config in this setup ?
