BTW, look at the Doom 3 site. An entire year is not exactly my definition of "soon".

I don't know if that is correct as it says "for planning purposes." based on ID's history I take that to mean that they don't know when Id will finish so they are pushing it back in their plan so that the don't plan the release b4 the product is ready and therefore waste resources. It still will be released 2004 in all likelyness but by pushing it back they take the pressure off Id to make a concrete date. (Id is known for releasing games, "when they are done") and by not limiting them they are allowing id to finish the game w/o a deadline.

I'm pretty sure when they say: "moving DOOM 3™ into its next fiscal year" they mean 2004, which is actually (!!!!!!) the next year.

Anyways it doesn't really matter what Activision says, it's up to id to get the game done. We know already it will be delayed to 2004 and I don't think they want to go much father than that or risk ending up like DNF.

plus look at the other games it is grouped with as being next financial year, the activision financial year starts on the 31st of march so I suspect that means 04, just 2q 04
