hi there, im having a problem with sof mp. i use a geforce 3 ti200 gfx card currently, due for an overhaul admittedly. still, recently after a fresh install of windows all the textures in mp mode only are checker board style, black and white with no surface detail. im running direct x 8.1, havnt upgraded to 9 because as far as im aware my card doesnt support it. however the latest nvidia forceware xp drivers make reference to using direct x 9. any ideas anyone. cheers scruff

yes i know exactly what u are talking about!! I had a GF3 Ti200 until today, and I have had to put up with the checker-board style gfx your described. I really couldn't figure out what it was .... but the lower my gfx was set .. the more visible it was. Now i have a GF4 Ti4200, with the same drivers and it doesn't happen. I have put the GF3 Ti200 on my other computer and its all clear .. no hashy, grill, checkered pattern. So I am really confused as to why it was happening. Sorry I couldn't be of any help, but I know what you mean. /ps does it happen worse if u stand by a dark area eg. behind a pillar on hk2 and in the tunnel/road on kam3?

I allways thought that those checker-board style gfx were caused by a corrupted pk3 (textures)?? Have you tried to run wiser2?? It runs fine on my parents PC w/ GF3 Ti500, but that isnt the same as a Ti200

yes i kno wat u mean it happened to me and i got pb ssed lol and they thoughti hacked, but to fix it u have to install the first disk, then cancel the rest then copy the stuff from the second disk to the folders and add registry to ur comp lol kinda difficult i cant explain it try lookin on there site not here lol but itll give u a complete walk threw on how to do it
