Oh, yes! That's gonna rock! Even if it's a bad flick, it's still gonna be bitchin'! I wonder if it takes anything from the games, or if it's a completely new story. Does this count as Alien 5, or Preditor 3?

From what I understand it will be a howl new story from the games and comics, but I wouldnt doubt there will be some of the same things about them. As for it being the 5th Alien or 3rd Predator movie its being set as its own franchise, they are already talking about a 3rd predator movie and possible a 5th alien.

Oh and Im a huge fan of the Predator movies so I going for them!! :s4:

i actually saw something about this the other day. after extensive research i think i can answer some questions. This is different that alien 5 or predator 3. both of those are actually being discussed right now i believe, but pred is just an idea, and the guy that was going to make alien 5, only will if AvP doesnt go through, which it really looks like it will, so i nobody hold your breath for Alien 5. The story is completly on it's own from the others i think. a lot of people are worried apparently because it's set in the present rather than the future so that might interfere with the Alien timeline, but i figure as long as the aliens lose, the timeline will be maintained. people are also worried about the director. forget his name, but same guy who made Resident Evil. so...cough yeah... i first heard about AvP because a heard that the were showing the preview for it before the Alien director's cut at theaters right now. Dang, you have no idea how long i've been waiting for this movie. well, maybe you do. after my searching i kinda realized i wasnt the only one anticipating this, but still. a frickin long time. p.s. wow, i think this's my longest post ever.
