just wondering if this is some sort of bug. Ive talked to several other people about it and they seem to have the same problem.

What im talking about is when you create a LAN game or vote on a map to use, only about 30 of them will appear. To make sure it wasnt my client screwing up or even perhaps my maps were corrupted, I moved all non-essentail maps (leaving default maps after a full install + gold patch update) into a different directory.

I then proceeded to download a couple of new maps and stored them in the sof2 base directory. No probs here, all the maps I had downloaded were available for play. I then restored all the maps (100+ of them) back into the base directory. The new maps which I had originally downloaded were not there (all gametypes) PLUS alot more were missing. It seems to be displaying a maximum of 30 or so maps.

Can anyone shed some light to this problem

Never heard of this before... but I guess the in game menu only displays 30 (or so)... a hard coded problem I would presume.

OSP may try to fix the problem, but other than that I don't think there is a solution.

so how exactly do you activate this mod.. Ive put the file in the base and mp directory and still dont notice anything different.

The readme file isnt much help either, its just basically a long list of whats been updated and what new features are available.  :s8:

Yes, as meatpuppet mentioned, the latest PSYCHO Mod solved this problem.  There's a command, /listmaps that lists all maps on the server by the name u would use to call a vote with (i.e. mp_kam69 would be displayed as such, and to call a vote for that map, one would type /callvote map mp_kam69).  If you're an admin or a referee, the vote will be interpreted as a command, otherwise the normal voting process will start.  I have tested it on a server with 400 maps and have seen no problems.  Plus, the list is alphabetized to boot.  As far as install goes, the directions are in the download.  If you've ever installed a mod before, it's no different.

perhaps you can enlighten me  :p

ive read through the readme file and still dont understand what to do. Now as far as installing mods go, usually there is a full extract with a bat file or a pk3 which gets extracted into the base/mp directory (from what ive seen)

Obviously there are other ways to load a mod which are in cfg format ?... Seriously, im stuck here  :(

please help
