Ok,

When playing sof2, my computer continually beeps.

The beeps are usually about 3 seconds apart and sometimes as far apart as 3 minutes.

I don't recall doing anything to my computer...but problems can be very subtle.

I've checked event viewer for errors..none are there.  I have noticed that in the console it will say... unexpected end of info file

It doesn't say that everytime it beeps...but I don't recall seeing this before.

Can anyone pass me a clue?

nope.

I've been playing with this keyboard and mouse for about 6 months.

Only recently it started doing this.  It seems to be getting progressively worse though.

The beeps will actually occur while I'm watching the game and not even playing.

no oc'ing.

Sof2 isn't much work for my comp :)

3.2 ghz, 1 gb ram, nvidia fx5900.

But i'm glad you said that... I think it may be related to some software I tried to install..called easy tune for Gigabyte... it does allow you to OC your computer... I was just curious about it... but when I tried to open the program it would just repeatedly crash...so I'm wondering if it didn't mess up a driver or something somewhere... I had already uninstalled that software b4 this started...and I can't recall if the beeps started around the same time or not :(

I'll most likely to a format of the hard drive just to be safe.

It worked before, so something must have happened and trying to install that program might be the cause... GL with the reinstall!

I would say you need to look at the temperature of your processor. The beeping may be an Temp Indication telling you the puter is starting to get too hot. Open the case and make sur to blow all the dust out of it and off the heatsinks.
