Ive tried everything. Ill try NoLogics uninstall/ reinstall again. Maybe it will work this time. If it doesnt ill just buy a new game i guess. Is the Gold version a buyable version?

are you haveing any problems with any other games since you upgraded your vid card?  

im willing to bet that your problem is probablly a driver problem, with some semblance of the old ones getting in the way.  

what did you have before the 9800?

I'll help you out dude.  The texture problem is fairly common.  For whatever reason that file is just corrupt on some discs.  I don't see why people jumped down your throat, some people here just feel like they're all high and mighty or something.  It isn't like you have an illegal copy and the texture pak file will somehow magically allow you to play online.  ICQ me, 52463051, or AIM, wedens2000, or email, wb22gprix@mail.charter.net.

TO THE first guy i had a GeForce 2 before. But i had a older friend who is a PC Guru install it for me. He wiped out old drivers and everything.

To the second guy ill be on AIM.

OK this is weird. I ran reistalled the game after a full uninstall and deletion of left over files. I ran WISER and it said everything was fine and what not. The graphics are there but when i use the patch the graphics go to their black and white state.  

This leads me to believe maybe the patch i got has a corrupt file or something.

These official sorry posts intrigue me. I might want to try it out sometime.

Are you installing all the patches separately ??  ie: 1.01 -> 1.02 -> gold, or are you installing the game and using the gold full patch??

It sounds like you may have solved your own problem.  If the game works fine before you patch it, then breaks after you patch it.  Sounds like the copy of the patch you have is corrupt.  What i would suggest you do is download the sof2goldfull.exe patch (if you already have it then delete it and download it again from www.sof2files.com) Uninstall/reinstall your game then patch it.  Hope this works for you.

Ok in all weirdness of this event everything works.  I went out and bought a 6th fan for my PC and when came back uninstalled the game turned off the pc and installed then fan(its neon blue light up...). Turned on the pc reinstalled game and used the Gold patch again and now the textures are there.

WTF??? lol Ive uninstalled and reinstalled like 8 times and now it deicdes to work. Weird!

Little shot in the dark....you have your system over clocked some where right...cpu, ram, video card?
