Hi. Yes I registered to post. Yes this is my first post. And no, I don't own JA- yet. I've played JK2 for a long time and I'm a potential customer who's really been wanting to check out JA. I've been thinking about buying JA for a week. Then I heard a whole bunch of horror stories about bugs and decided to investigate to see if they were true.

This. is. ridiculous.

The Raven supporters on this forum have not denied any of these bugs, but yet attest that they are not really problems. My mouth almost dropped to the ground when I read this:

Sportsmanlike? I may not own the game, but I don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize that this is a SERIOUS problem. On the other hand, I've been scrounging for any reassuring feedback from Raven and have heard nothing.

I'll probably still buy the game. I've heard the single-player is fantastic. But the issues here, *especially* the in-game server browser, are serious issues. And frankly, these people here complaining are trying to get their attention- and all you're doing is placing obstacles in their way. No matter what the good intentions a company may have, it often takes a lot of feedback to get their attention. And unfortunately, complaints are the primary source of useful feedback NOT compliments- because compliments encourage NO action.

Why did I post this? I don't know. I felt disgusted. Disgusted by the way these complaints are being treated as puerile whines. And I'm worried that all this sugarcoating may lead the corporation into a false sense of security.

Actually...the reason for them being dismissed as whiners are their foul language and untowards behaviour. We don't dismiss what they say, we just point out it won't get them anywhere in these forums. We're trying to keep peace here which can't be done when people are shouting abuse.

I already sent raven all the map exploits that where I could find in CTF and yes each of the 5 maps of map exploits.  Some really really bad.  I believe that they already have these fixed as they are pretty simple to fix.... Would be nice since none of the ctf map exploits in JK2 where fixed.   Let us cross our fingers.  But right now I just wanna see a server list patch.  I have been waiting "semi" patiently for the past month.

So I think the main differences between Hinotori and me are that he hasn't paid 50 dollars for this junk and that he hasn't been driven mad yet by the lack of support/feedback and the nonsensical justification of said dearth?

This post is just like the others. I know how you feel Hinotori, but it's useless. Let's just cross our fingers for a 1.01 before 2004

We had a map exploit used against us in a twl competition match.  It sucked because we couldnt return flag. All you have to do is cap once and then use map exploit and the game is over just have to wait for the timer to run out.  So these should be addressed.

Why would I give any praise to Raven for this buggy JO $19.99 update?

The fun you've had with the game is your OPINION.  You wouldn't want to hear, or read, my opinion...but I was giving Raven at least a chance to put a patch out.

We're really happy you're having fun with the game.  You and the other 1199 people (BAHAHA!!)  What a pathetic # of players, 2 months after release??  It all happened as we said it would...Raven would continue to ignore us, never release the server fix, and this game would die.

No no no, if you'd like to show me why the broken server browser is a feature ala Derek Smart's Desktop Commander or something of that sort, I'd be more than happy.  I just think you need a better taxonomy for complaints.
