I am frustrated with the flow of JA multiplayer compared to the un-hindered and comparatively free-form single player. I hope that Raven sees fit to un-hobble special moves for the un-cheating rest of us in a patch. Having said that, I completely agree with those who complain about the in-game server browser problem - the point is, one shouldn`t *have* to use a 3rd party browser. You shouldn`t have to use a 3rd party anything... JA should have this basic functionality integral, just like IL-2 Sturmovik/The Forgotten Battles should have quick coop multiplayer mission capability instead of relying upon 3rd party work. Slightly different scales there, but similar in general respect.

Believe me when I say I HATE registering for a gazillion different pieces of 'support' software every time I download something. I certainly do not wish to do the same to play a game. Saying Gamespy can serve you faithfully as a server browser is a solution to be sure, but definitely not the best nor desired one for many of us.

Often such things are merely extra layers of hoop-jumping code through which we leap... extra software to screw up, heaped upon the main codebase of the game itself. Things are supposed to get easier as time goes by with computers, not more convoluted.

I understand wanting to not utterly condemn Raven since despite many things JA *is* a fun game, but I also understand frustration in not hearing anything from officials on patches and upcoming fixes etc. . Raven should say to Lucasarts (if indeed contractually bound to silence, for some reason), "You know, remaining legally silent is fostering a great deal of forum/community animosity out there that is going to negatively impact sales on JA... perhaps we should alter the agreement to allow for a bit of feedback... ." In that respect perhaps Lucasarts is at fault. Anyway... .

ok i'm closing this topic. not because it's complaining about the game or even raven itself. i'm closing this because some of you are directly attacking individual posters who happen to disagree with you. if you want to open a new thread then go ahead. but if you start attacking individuals again, i've got plenty of padlocks.

and keep it clean please. if you can't post without "####ing this" and "####ing that". then don't post. period.

raven do read these threads.i'm betting that so do lucasarts. but so do many children who raven (through us) have a duty to "protect". these boards are not the place for you to vent your vitriol by swearing.
