i have a msi geforce 4 ti 4200 and i just installed the latest nvidia drivers and now when i open sof2 the game freezes the system when i try to go into multiplayer game. anyone able to recreate this experience? and if so, how would do you think raven should respond to this problem?

i just installed the new drivers and I too crash when I join a game. The drivers totally freeze my PC and I have to do a hard reboot. I didn't uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones so I'm going to do that and see if it fixes it.

i Have the MSI ti4600 and got the same problem so i rolled my drivers back to 45.23 and problem was solved, I dont think its ravens prob tbh i think that nvidia mainly did it for the FX series of cards coz they work fine on my m8's FX5900 Ultra 256mb

Cheers, I got a pny geforce 4400Ti and i get the same thing a good freeze and some weird sounds too. But the funny thing is that it only happens on punkbuster servers, you can play fine on non punkbuster servers so this is really odd. And it looks like on any game multiplayer with punkbuster this happens, for me sof2 and wolfeinstein enemy territory. So either nvidia needs to fix it or punkbuster needs to update their code. If anyone knows of a fix please post. Thanks NINO

Yup, me too. I have PowerCooler ti4200. If i install any 5x.xx series of drivers, SOFII crashes on punkbuster servers. I can play all day/ night on non-pb servers. I emailed EvenBalance with the problem but have not heard any response yet. I'll post their answer/ resolution if and when they respond.

in a weird way, im glad to know that someone else out there is experiencing this problem. pretty cool that it seems like it is related to pb. wonder how long it will be for an update

Same here AthlonXP1700 Gainward GeForce3Ti200 VIA KT266a New Via 4in1 Via RAID patch I tried all the 5x.xx version of the drivers, every single one of them crashes in Sof2MP. Not really a crash, but a freez with repeating sounds, need to press restart to fix it... At first I thought it was my fault, so I formated my PC, reinstalled XP and all the updates. Still happens...

Well i just got a geforcefx 5900 and it doesnt happen, so its definately a problem wtih geforce 4 cards and below
