WTF is this SABER DOWN ####... I have been on many a server with some fruity douche who bitches about being killed with there saber down. WELL WTF are you doing in the middle of a #### FFA saber battle with your saber down... you deserve to be killed

ALSO all you little bastards that like to biscuit eater about darkside force powers and being blown off a cliff... GET OVER IT, there is a counter attack to every move, its in the game it should be played.

GIVE ME A SERVER WHERE THERE IS NO biscuit eater AND JUST PURE FFA and I will will give you ####, frozen.

Stunning... you joined the forum simply to find an area to vent your anger. Simply put the no saber down rule was invented in JK2 for good reason its stayed around because Some people like to have fun or maybe joke a bit with the people they are playing with not just get kills because generally a good rule to remember is that the kill board is in no way a measurement of skill some of the best people have only 20 kill while Darth McBob has 200 simply because hes just going nuts with the simple power moves and getting those kills FFA is really a giant meeting area. You fight, you have fun, you chat a bit and thats it makes the game a bit more enjoyable the No attack/saber down rule is for those who are talking to a buddy or people just talking smack nobody likes someone coming up while your chatting or watching a duel and killing you then having him say "Yeah I owned you noobs!"

Now the lightning thing I have no idea why many servers get rid of that as long as theres absorb lightning is your friend!   Though you do seem an angry fellow so I expect a pissed off counter reply to this.

chat kill is bad in any game... so I will give you that.

However, with SABER down it seems you need to get killed as you are a douche bag wasting a server spot and taking space from some player who actually wants to play the game instead of stand around in a circle jerk playing "hide your saber" .

bounty, i must agree with cujojack on a few points. 90% people who biscuit eater about being killed with saber down just annoy the #### out of me. I will kill anyone who is moving around with a saber down because too often someone who has a saber down will all of a sudden turn it on and attack me with it when i was going to leave them alone. also people who run around attacking with force powers and saber down. however if you stand still, in a corner or something with no weapon, i will leave you alone. so dont blame us for ruining your so called 'fun', blame those who do the forementioned things. cujojack has every right to complain.

as for why lightning is disabled in many servers. there is a bug which allows lightning to basically insta-kill. yes, full health to no health in an instant. im not sure exactly how it goes, but its something like if your saber is out, but off, it does it.

that bug only affects linux servers.

What I love are the people who use the force wtih their saber down, lightning, grip, etc, and then complain if you kill them.

Pay attention to the server rules when you login.  You should respect the rules of that server.  If the rules say no killing with Saber down, then don't kill when the sabers are down.

server rules are a big thing... as its thier house thier rules.

I will be damned if I stay on a server with with any of the fore-mentioned flaws of the saber down rule taking place i.e. grip or lighting or the running around with no saber and bam! roll and stab.

Cujojack, I agree that it is annoying when people use saberdown as an excuse of sneaking up and getting lame kills.  But would you honor someone using the saberdown concept reasonably?  Like if they want to just duel a certain other player because maybe they are getting the most kills and want to see how they really match up, so one awaits the other with saberdown?  And most people who do reasonably use the saberdown concept are respectful enough to stay out of major fighting areas.  I mean basically, I agree that saberdown can be abused, but isn't there some room in the JA world for it?  I mean you are trying to simulate being a jedi....
