Hia!

We got our new Linux OSP server up and running, but are having a couple bugs -

1)Our server is showing up in the master lists when you search for internet servers, but it shows 0 players on the server, even when players are on it. Yes, we have 4 reserved admin slots, but I've tried it with multiple non-admins as well, and its the same thing, 0 players.... if you look on gamespy, or HLSW, you will see the players. You run SOF2 and connect, and then it says 0 players, so people leave once they connect, thinking the server is empty. ?

2)We are running a capture the Flag server... have verified that the gametype is set to CTF, and disablePickups is 0, so players are outfitted, rather than having to run around and find weapons like on an elimination map. That's working fine, but there are NO backpacks. The only cvar's we can find regarding backpacks are the cvar's for the respawning, which we have set to 60 seconds. But we never get any backpacks to begin with. ?

1st of all: wrong forum... this part of the forum is used by people who create stuff for sof2.

I can't answer your 1st question... but i think i can answering your 2nd question (at least for a part of it):

* CTF is by default played with outfits (and so is Elimination, unless you are playing Goldrush)
* When setting "disablePickups" to 0 then you ENABLE pickups. If you want to disable them (not necessary for CTF) then you should set it to 1!
* CTF is by default played with backpacks, but ofcoz the mapper must have placed such entities in the map. Some maps, like mp_dust, dont have BP entities in them...

Oh, and when players try to connect to your server and they disconnect while connecting then you probably received an error from SOF2. I think your server is running custom stuff (maps, skins, etc in PK3 form) and you have disabled "downloads" on your server... if so, then a player receives an error that they are missing file XXX and that they cant connect due that!
