I'm totally noobfounded, and can use some help. I am not a newbie to linux or sof2 hosting, but have never done both. I've also tried the installation from my windows folder as opposed to the cd. I've put the sofkey file in base/mp. I've run this using screen and without. I've run as root, user, and su. I've set the hunk, and zone memory up & down, and fps - yada, yada... Firewalled, or not - it doesn't get much further than this. I have 8,000,001 core dumps for any who might be so enlightened. Machine: AMD 900Mhz, 512MB, 20 Gig Distro: Mandrake 9.1, Full client base, most server base, LSB

Does anyone hear me out there? I can run 1.03 dedicated just fine, but 1.00 always gives me a seg fault on Mandrake 9.1. The setup guidelines were followed to the letter, and no other errors are reported. Q: Does sof2ded executable utilize the graphics drivers, or is that a non-issue?

there were a lot of issues fixed by the subsequent server releases up to 1.02a
