click on files, then gtkradiant and then you'll see a note above list of GTK versions that says Download selector.

Download gtkradiant 1.2.11 for All games, then the update 1.2.12 and the update 1.2.13

This is just because it is not meant to compile EF1 maps; when you instruct UberRadiant to edit EF1 maps, the "Build" menu  shows a line that points to "q3map2.exe", not "ubermap.exe"; if this compile line doesn't work for you, this is probably because q3map2 cannot be found in your EF2 dir: indeed, if you open the "Build Editor", you will see that the variable "$radiantpath" points to your EF2 dir. If you change it to say "c:\temp" then q3map2.exe will be called from there ;)
