i cant stand 3rd person sabre, ive just played the demo and uninstalled imediately because i cant use 1st person with the sabre. im definately not buying it till a patch comes out enabling it

if you use the saber in 1st person it will be reletively useless as most of the moves are acrobatics.

Sure! But, it should still have it as an option like Jedi Outcast does. While, I am not going to "not buy" the game because of this (I already have bought one) It's annoying to switch between first and third perspective unless you are dueling. And, there's already a key that switches to third perspective for those cases. There really is no reason why the first perspective setting for the lightsaber isn't included this time around...

yes there is, the saber would be pretty much useless in first person in this game.

While I agree that 1st person saber should be an option, I can also see why it isn't. The game's saber mode was designed to be played in 3rd person perspective, so it just won't work or look right otherwise. It's a shame that you can't do the 3rd person thing, because the game really is awesome (despite the fact that the single player game is WAY too short!).

I have no problem with it, love it in fact. I am just not liking the way the game designers are focusing less on FPS and are doing so with the more traditional action game play in third person. They sure as well sell it as a FPS game. I just think it should give more options as to how the dueling with the saber is implemented. Not a big deal I guess...

why would the sabre be useless? all the moves could still be included (just wouldnt see them on screen). the reason why i want 1st person is that 3rd person removes the little sense of realism that u get from playing a fps game.... yeh! im a jedi!.... oh crap now im some camera floating around a dudes head! i dont mind if i dont see any of the fancy moves longs the basic block and slashes are in there like in the last game jk game

I think they'd have to do a whole crap load of animations for a 1st person sabre, and for the limited quality and number of people that acutally want it, it wouldn't be worth their time. Maybe you should specialize in the weapons and not the sabre.

well most of the moves use acrobatics and strikes in directions other than forward, if you saw that in first person you would have no clue what was going on.
