HI. Single player won't start at all but multiplayer and the Demo version work fine.

I have the lastest ATI drivers.

The blue screen error is :

A fatal exception 0E occurred at 0028:C1B036AE in VXD ZZZZZZ(01) + 0000268E

current app will be terminated

There were quite a few people at Lucasforums with the same problem. They all seem to have various OS's and hardware.

By the way, my compliments on the Seige mode maps in MP ! Good stuff.

loads of people seem to be having the same sort of problems and they are all to do with ATi graphics cards. I don't think anybody with a Nvidia card has complained yet so i think Raven need to create a patch for ATi users

I have an Nvidia 5600 Ultra, and Single player won't work at all.  Multiplayer just fine.  Starts to load and then it drops.  XP want's to send an error report.  I'm using version 44.03 of the Nvidia Drivers.

Just upgraded to version 45.23 of Nvidia Drivers.  Still no luck.  Get to A long time Ago, and then error report to Microsoft.

AMD Athlon 2200
512 MB of PC 3500 RAM
Nvidia 5600 Ultra
About 15 Gigs free on hardrive.
Direct X version 9.0a.
Creative Labs Audigy 1 Card.

All the above with most current drivers available.

What seems to have happened is they they screwed up the anti-copying scheme they used on this so that half of the legitimate buyers can't play the game. I'm guessing that it all has to do with how sensitive your CD drive is. Someone just posted at lucasforums.com that some noCD crack fixes this.

Great. Yet another example of the honest paying customers getting screwed by faulty antipiracy schemes.

I'm guessing that this is also behind a bunch of the other random crashes.

Maybe it only messes up with certain brands of CD drive. I have a Hitachi-7830. Anyone else with problems have this brand ?

Yes its a problem that raven doesn’t want to fix because they will say their hands are tied by lucas arts blah blah blah ect ect ect

Man the bugs are so farking blaring in this game I’m surprised it made it out of QA!

This same #### happened with Jedi outcast. I can’t believe raven attached its name to a 2nd Jedi knight game and failed to support it! Before you guys biscuit eater, this bug was visable in the demo too that was released a week for so before it hit the shelf

So in conclusion:

They let a showstopper go gold

But lets turn our attention to quake4…the game that, um, is based on the uh engine and the bad story of the same name….

The demo worked fine for me. It is unfair to accuse Raven of not supporting Outcast. They released some great stuff for it. If it turns out that the anticopying scheme is indeed the problem, I'm not sure that is Raven's fault. It may have been forced on them by the publishers.

Raven gives their support in the way they can. In the beginning when JK2 was released there were no JK forums here since LEC wanted the disussion to take place on the lucasforums. Right now there are forums here, and you can talk about the problems here, which should at least give you some indication that Raven does take interest in your concerns.
