Ok... I just got the game and loving it so far.  Only problem is I am getting these wierd yellow/white screen flashes.  It happens randomly, while running around or while standing still and just moving the mouse.  If i hold the mouse in the spot where a "flash" is, then the whole screen turns white or yellow and stays that way until I move the mouse again.

If someone will tell me how to get a screenshot, I will post what I am talking about...

Any ideas?  Anyone else getting this problem?

My specs:
WinXP home sp1
DirectX 90a
P4 2.4b
ATI 9700pro
asus p4g8dlx motherboard
1GB pc2100 dual channel ddr
soundblaster audigy 2
xcard dvd decoder
asus 52x cdrw
pioneer 16x dvd
logitech mx500

Yeah, Catalyst 3.7.  I wonder if perhaps my video card is overheating...

Certainly sounds like it, are you overclocking?

No, not overclocking at all.  However, the last few weeks I have been getting wierd random freezing and hangs when just surfing the web or other normal 2d stuff.  A few times I had this wierd pink box show up around the mouse cursor, with this odd checker-board patter on it.  After a few seconds, the computer froze and I had to reboot.

Maybe time to take off that stock ATI cooler and put some artic silver on there and maybe a new fan.

Yeah I had this same thing happen. I am running 3.06 P4 w/ 9800 Pro 3.7 Cats. I turned off the Dynamic glow (I think that is it) setting under the Video options and the flashing stopped. I don't think it is a heat problem as I've seen this issue reported on some other boards as well. Also Antistropic Filtering is maxed out by default when you install the game. You can turn this down a bit to get some better performance. Although My 9800 seems to handle it without even blinking  :;):

You mean something like this?

If so... I hope the above mentioned fix works. It isn't overheating btw, because I already checked that. I am not overclocked, though I do have everything set to high.

Radeon 9700 pro 128
2400+ AMD
Latest Catalyst 3.7 drivers...

Thanks for the information on turning down some options, like the glow? I will look into it.

Turning off glow does indeed remove the white/yellow screen problem. I am fixed having changed nothing else.

I have the same problem.

Do you think they will fix the glow feature for the Radeon cards in a patch?

Or is this a driver issue?
