hello

ive been havin this problem for a month or so... maybe longer since i only use m4 when i dont hit ####  

when i shoot a m203 its simply not there (not visible) but its there physically since i can frag with it. there is no explosion or anything ...

i searched all my folders (sof2, base, mp , osp, x-mod and every other #### folder in my sof2 installation folder) but there is nothin. it seems my m203s have been uninstalled by some freakin server cfg (probably a stupid m4 cryin noob-server)

already thinkin about a reinstall, but maybe someone can help.

I had this.  Wierd innit!?

Think i needed to re-install to fix it.

However, do a search for 'wiser' on these forums.  Appartly that should fix things, and save you re-installing everything.

wiser2 will tell u if any of the core fiels are corrupt

the most common cause of this problem is a pk3 called something like no nades

if u do reinstall make sure u delete the sof2 folder after uninstalling and backing up any configs

well wiser isnt really a great help on this one. it only tells me that some files are installed incorrect and suggest reading the readme (what a great idea )

however i dont have any pk3 files like nonade or noobkiller or whatever pk3s there may be, ive checked that a 1000 times.

the game worked perfectly fine till that #### happened, and actually still does (exept the freakin m203s).

well its not that hard, i always use ak anyway, but its still weird - wonder where i got that problem.

the read me is the wiser 2 thread which contains the solutions for corrupt installs

just reinstall your sof2, it doesn't take too long. Don't forget to copy your sof2mp.cfg across though.

the file that wiser2 hangs up on (the progress bar halts for forever) is likely the one thats messed.  copy that one over, then run it again.

Sounds like you have the nonades.pk3 somewhere.

well before posting u should read the previous posts fragger

as i said there is no "foreign" pk3 in my folders, in none of them !!!

spike, what thread are u talkin about ? (u dont mean the threads on wiser in this forum do u ?)
i dont get it, wiser doesnt have a readme, i mean i doesnt give me any information what file may be corrupted, it just says sof isnt installed correctly, which is obvious and absolutely useless !

anyway the problem is fixed on new osp servers (i), so apparently my osp-folder has been manipulated by some moron-server. strange thing is that i still have the problem on non-osp servers, so my base/mp folder seems to be f|_|cked up too...... (the corruption would have to be in my sof2 folder then, dont it ?  i mean if osp and mp are both affected ?!)... but there is nothin as i said

the thread that i linked to that has the download link to wiser2 in it.

it does indicate what file is corrupt as it stops as soon as it find an error so the file its on is the corrupt one.
