Everytime I try to start the demo's levels, I get this message. Any help from you guys at raven would be greatly appriciated.

You are correct there IS a bug in the game.

when playing the 2nd level and after the loading is complete the screen will go blue and the words new object updated will appear and will freeze the system, Requiring a hard reboot.

This happens every time. I’ve tested disabling and enabling everything. Still the same problem happens.

I can work around the loading bug because it saves right after it loads, so going to the load screen and loading the level from there works. But if you die and try to quick load or load the level all over again, the game will freeze.

System

Mobo: MSI delta Delta-ILSR Ultra 400
Cpu: 2400+
512 MB
9700 PRO running 3.6 and 3.7 cat drivers

Nothing overclocked. Everything in the task manager that’s not system critical is closed.

Any responses?

Edit: researching the bug i found that 3 other people at the rage3d forum exhibit the same problem I have.

same here, useing a kt400 board, 9700pro and winxp; all updated to latest drivers.  i can post the whole windows error report if that means anything to anyone.

Oh fuct me. Another gaming company that tests on nvidia hardware. How hard is it to have a few boxes with ATi cards in them. #### ATi will send you cards if you ask nicely!

and ati just released new drivers too.

DirectX should have no baring!

Its a openGL game.

BTW despite raven softs best efforts to stop me from completing the demo, I did so. It involved saving every 10 seconds. That bug appears at the beginning of the 2nd level. Thank god for auto saving at the start of the level or I would of been more screwed and angry!

just because they use opengl for rendering does not mean that they don't use many features of directx as well.
