First, let me apologize to those of you who recently received spam in their Private Message box. Seems we had a spammer register with the site just to access the messaging system here. I am deleting them from your boxes now and suspending the user's account (and more) so they don't bother you.

For those of you who enjoy the thrill of the kill, I respect no one who shows me no respect. Therefore, if you read on you will find some more information on how to get in contact with our spammer.

The private message was your standard...

ECOBANK Lome-Togo

My Dear,

I am most delighted to contact you at this moment. I am the Chief Accountant for the Bills and Credits in the Foreign Remittance Unit of ECOBANK Headquarters here in Lome,Republic of Togo, West Africa. With due respect and regard, I have decided to contact you on a project that
will be of immense benefit to both of us.
.. blah, blah

I really don't care for abuse of out great site here and, as some of you know, I also won't stand for it. So, here is a little snack for those of you who enjoy flaunting your special skills....

I remember one guy who got some spam similar to that. He jerked that spammer's chain for a while, pretending to be interested, but never giving the guy his bank account number. Had like several emails back and forth, all with the spammer thinking he had finally found a sucker. The guy posted the whole thing on his website. Quite funny, wish I had the link
