I just wanna know if its possible to run a server on my computer and then play on this server... 'Coz when I create a dedicated server, I just can play in "local" and my friend cant play because my server is not on the server list. Thx for answers...

he can try directly connecting to your ip via the console (~) 1) open the console (~) and type 1.1.1.1:20100 where 1.1.1.1 is your I.P. and 20100 is the port you are hosting from (20100 is default) what program are you using to host your server? or are you using the SoF2 way to host it?

yeah, you can do it. just make sure that when you start a dedicated server, you make the +set dedicated 2 <-- 2 makes it vewiable on the net. not just the lan. (unless you want lan, then make 1 i think). i have done it a few times when testing configs for the servers i run. works well, and theres almost no lag.. hehehe

Thanx ok I'll try with the ip.... But I don't think so that runs; he has already try to connect with the ip adress in the server list.... I use SoF2 to run the erver... ANd in the Local List, the server look like this: [UDP]MAXKILL Why UDP? What's this?

download sof2runner from gamerunners.com its makes server hosting very easy and much more customizable... also very easy
