Sounds weird but yeah i am lagging with a 200 FPS. It was my gfx problem first, but now im lagging with a new gfx card.
I have the ATI 9600 and my comp is 2.4 GHZ fast. How is this possible and how can i fix it?

My rate is 10000
and my FPS is /cg_maxfps 0

its because you have it set to 0.  

if you want 200fps, set it at 200.  although, i would recommend around 150.  setting it to 0 (maximum) will no doubt lag you out.

I did what you said and im still lagging after a while. What is causing this? People say they dont lag on the server but i do and other people as well but i dont think as much as much as me.

Beefy man said it may be my temperature but ion ohw to check. I went to BIOS and it wasnt there. Any other suggestions?

what does your lagometer show?  maybe your ISP just sucks like mine.  i have learnt to deal with lag.

I called the ISP and they said my connection is like beyond normal. So my connectoin isnt the problem.

The lag meter shows that its all fine, but when its in the middle of the game, red lines keeps popping out and those waves on bottom gets higher. Not 2 much, but noticeable.

if your getting red lines, that is packet loss. should try setting your fps to your monitors refresh rate, but dont use vertical syn. it could also be the server your on

OK....

1) RIGHT CLICK your desktop, and select PROPERTIES. Then select the SETTINGS TAB. Click on the ADVANCED button. On the new window, select the MONITOR TAB. Your refresh reate is in here - if it says optimal, check the "Hide modes this monitor cannot display" box, then select the highest number in the drop down box. Thats your refresh rate. Hit APPLY/OK.

2)Vertical sync is a function that will syncronise the image update on the screen with the CRT monitor beam. Only use this if the screen seems "wobbley" or if there are noticable lines going down the monitor when you play.

3)He means, the server you are on may be having lagging issues (ie, you are in Europe, the server is in the US). The server could aslso be having problems with running, but this is unlikely. Just check to see if you have the problem in multiple servers. If you do, its probably not a server problem.

It probably isn't your graphics card, but make sure you have the latest GRAPHIC DRIVERS, latest DIRECTX, and also try to get the latest MAINBOARD drivers - you can get these by going to your mainboard manufacturers website. IF your not sure on this one, please contact your PC vendor.

I would guess that the red spikes you have are something on your computer taking up bandwidth/processing power. Try downloading a SPYBOT from HERE (Sbybot Search & Destory) to search your computer for unwanted problems...

http://www.dslreports.com/stest for a real speed test.  Your ISP can say everything is working fine when in fact you're getting 500 pings where you're supposed to be getting 10, and getting dialup speeds on top of that.
