I am a new server admin and yesterday I took some manual screenshots using pb_sv_getss. When I went to view the images, they were all so dark they were almost totally black. Is this normal or does something need to be tweaked?

its normal, if u task switch out the game u will see ur desktop is faded out cause the game needs a much higher gamma level, so just use some photo app to increase the gamma

Thanks Spike, I was going to use photoshop to do just that. I just wasn't sure if this was normal.

I thought the shots that PB took were exactly the same as what it would look like from that persons perpective. Meaning that if it was really dark then the screenshot is exactly the same gamma as what the person was using. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

take a screenshot of ur self, or even just save the ones the server takes (always a good idea) and view it in windows it will be dark, cause windows gamma is quit a bit below the game, althoguth the amount of difference is dependant on ur video card
