Hey everyone @ Raven!

I have been working on multiplayer mapping for about 6 months, now; trying to learn everything I can.  I was recently laid off from a computer game company that made children's games, and I want to get into "real" games.  Many of the level builder jobs ask for scripting experience, and I would like to show some off.  Alas...I have none!

My question is...when I begin to learn, what would a good example of scripting be to show to an employer?  Just a maze-type level, which the character can walk around in and see AI in action?  I would rather keep the level itself rather simple, and go nuts with the scripting (cutscenes, etc).  Thanks for any help you can give me!  Also, where's a good place to start with making SP levels?

i myself make sp-maps for SoF2, (i have just finisht the 3de one). it's impossible to get good information about making sp-maps, you realy have to get it all done by yourself because there are no (NO!!!!) tutorials at all about this. i don't know why, because i myself only like to make sp's. so, there is no good place for starting with making sp's. i just have sent in my latest sp to some sites, and i will soon get some answers about if they will put it on a download site. the first one you can download if you like, don't forget, it is my first sof2 map, so it's just a trial map.

Perhaps learning Unreal Script would be a good place to start? I know it isn't SoF2 related but a lot of companies are using the Unreal engine now adays and being able to use that scripting system is rather important.
