I wish I had a picture to show you, but I am trying to make a skin for JK2 (actually I made it a long time ago, now I want to FIX it) that no longer REPLACES the prisoner model. I don't like playing SP games and going to rescue the prisoners...who look like my cartoon character!

Please someone tell me how to re-reference the skins to be their own character?

Hmm, the way I see it, you have 2 choices.

a) Make the clown skin a separate skin (ie rename the textures and then make it's own .skin set)

b) Copy the prisoner model into a new directory, add the skin files to it, create the .skin files, so it's treated as a fully different model.

If you don't know how to do those, say so and I'll put a more detailed description here.

Hope that helps!

Or, try the following:

1. Make a new set of textures.
2. Copy the model_default.skin file and rename it to model_default_whatever.skin.
3. Make model_default_whatever.skin point to the new textures.

Now, you can pick it as an extra skin from the selection menu in MP.

Ask me if you want to know how to make yourself a clown NPC for SP. I know that also.
