The first time I saw Luke Skywalker was in Star Wars movies. I think he was around 16 at that time. According to www.starwars.com, it was a "decade" from Anakin Skywalker turning to the dark side to the death of Darth Vader. So when Vader and Palpatine died, Luke was probably 21-22 years old. Since I forgot everything about Dark Forces and never played JK1, I don't know how many years passed since the Return of the Jedi. When I saw Luke Skywalker again in JK2 Jedi Temple, I wondered how old he is now, and also, how old is Kyle?

Jedi Academy is about 14 years after "A New Hope" (episode IV). Dark Forces I plays at this time and Kyle is relatively young, I think about 25-30. So I think he's 40+.

According to the New Jedi Order books Luke is late 40's maybe 50. He still can kick @ss though.

According to one of my PC gamers with a preview of JK2 Lucasarts' Brett Tosti says "It takes place about nine years after Mysteries of the Sith, which was about one year after Jedi Knight. I belive it's set about thirteen years after Return of the Jedi." I hope that helps.
