I like the idea of running a real damage in INF or DEM mode just for fun.  I think if you play for a clan in league matches you should probably not spend too much time on them...

RD gives new birth to weapons like the Uzi and the Grease-gun.

There is nothing more rewarding than spraying a shottie hopper with the Uzi and watching them crumble... or crouching down and sliding around a corner to rip open a shottie camper...  Great fun.

The visually offensive open area twitch tappers and close-in shottie hoppers have felt the pain from the weapons they disdained...

An extra smidgeon of realism has entered the pubs: more stop and go... less to and fro followed by up in the air you go.  So... what is wrong with that!

I have a gut feeling that some of the criticisms of RD are like what happened when "talkies" enter the cinema.  Suddenly, mugging and sawing the air with your arms was out of fashion.  A new dimension closer to real life came to the screen… In SOF2, the twitch mugging and sawing the air with one’s shottie are disappearing from certain servers.  Those who practiced this to an artful advantage are unhappy that it is suddenly a liability.  That is not to say those players can’t win as easily on other servers.  It is just they can’t stand losing an advantage… that is understandable.  

Play where you have fun.   Putting down RD is mostly self-serving to those who have practiced a different craft.

practiced craft?  any real-damage server i have played on (roc and others) had the same speed set as real servers...so it is not like suddenly you are jumping into a sim, or some sort of realism (imo) but a type of match where you can kill, and die, much more quickly.  arcade-style play.

this is a run-an-gun game, not a simulation.

uhm, my RoC server setting is g_speed 320 which is not default.   I think maybe this guy has touched a soft spot!  Bet ya didn't think I'd come to prove you wrong?  Or you're one of those highly self important people who feels he doesn't need to actually research any facts before posting them up on a forum for all to read.  Either way, you just look stupid now! ha ha!

And doing this, ive changed ONE of my servers to a SIM MODE type and my other server is OGL settings man.  OMG! YOU MEAN I HAVE BOTH!? hahah yes yes i do.  Sometimes I feel like a nut, sometimes i dont!

i really don't care what you run Gen.  i'm just glad ppl are still starting up new sof2 servers.  

really, i doubt ANYONE here really cares what YOU run.  this thread was never about what YOUR server runs.  it was a thread about ppls opinions on REAL DAMAGE.  you've sucesfully ruined this thread. GJ!
