Why the #### is SoF2 still not even close to as popular as CS?  To me, it has basically all that CS has, except for the money earning point.  However, I dont think that a point as small as that should determine how much more popular CS is over SoF2.  Im mean, come on, SoF2 has better graphics, more blood, better sound, more polished gameplay, cooler music, and faster action.  Why cant there be more people playing this game? Its such a sad sight to see the poor amount of gamers playing this game.  Does anyone really know why SoF2 still isnt up there?  

Maybe it's because CS can run on practically anyone's computer?

People who are good at CS don't want to go to a game where they'll be noobs.

CS is cheap and easily warezable.

CS got hyped much more than SOF2.

its better this way.  we dont get too many moron 12 year olds bothering us.  there are plenty of players in the game, so its not like you have a problem jumping onto a decent server.  

the only down sides are raven doesnt make as much cash and the mod makers have a harder time getting people to plpay their mods.

yeah, overall the half life "community" annoys me, there are some good parts of it, there are several good mods but the engine is dying and it will be interesting to see how much longer it will last.

Apart for system requirements I have 2 other main reasons why sof2 is not as popular as cs.

1.) cs has lots of guns, sof2 has alot but not so many.

2.) cs guns at least make a pretense of being balanced, sof2 if u dont use the ak+pump (or m4 till your out of 203's) you cant really be competitive against soeone who is useing one of those overpowered guns. In other words in cs you can do damage with almost all the guns, in sof2 you can't.

to me, it seems so dated, that it really hasn't lasted at all.  people who play it i'm sure are stuck with gf1's or something similar.  i think HL2 will finally (thank god) put the nail in cs's coffin.

cs guns aren't balanced, they don't have to be, to replace balancing they use prices. In Sof2 the guns are actually balanced, it is just that most people don't take the time to learn the other guns in the game, I use the m60 or the mp5 and the micro Uzi and the M1911AI and i get lots of kill with all of them. My M60 owns shotty users and my mp5 kills ak users very nicely thank you.
