How do i change to third person i got cg_thirdperson but it didn't work a list just came up in the console

third person is a block cvar and is a scanned cvar by punkbuster, it is illegal and is considered a cheat

Yeah its blocked during game play but is allowed to be used when in Dev or viewing a demo file.

Its interesting that this is considered a cheat.
Other games have 3rd person view ... I guess PB don't want you to have a bigger view of the world!

Once again, PB is limiting the original game - if you always played in 3rd person, and mastered it, enjoyed it etc.... well tough - now you can't  

Raven removed it in the 1.2 patch I think. PB enforces it. It's a cheat.

I would say the def of "CHEAT" in this game is doing something that no one else can do.

AIMBOT - Its a cheat because perfect aim on head without having to aim. You can't do it because you HAVE to aim. Auto aim is not part of the game.

WALLHACK - Its a cheat because you can see through walls. You can't do it because the walls are solid. Solid walls are part of the game.

THIRD PERSON - Its a cheat because ??. You CAN do it because its part of the game.

Ok ok, if its been removed, then its no longer part of the game.    So NOW its a cheat if you use it.
