Ok, this is really screwy indeed.

First it does affect SP as well.  It crashes.  And MP crashes everytime.  I 'tried' to install the 1.04 patch, but all that happens is it thinks its the 1.03 patch.  First, it says I'm already updated when I try to install it.  But in the game console it says 1.03.  So I reinstall the game, and try the patch again.  Sure enough it updated it to 1.03.  So I do need to try this 1.04 patch, if only it would work!

Maybe downloading it from JK2files isn't a good idea.  I'll try the official site.  I have no idea why that patch isn't working, other than its a faulty patch, but I don't think the game will ever run correctly anymore (or MP ever again) unless I PROPERLY get this 1.04 patch installed.

Also, JK2SP is on version 1.03 and JK2MP is on 1.04 even after applying the 1.04 patch. This is because 1.04 only affects MP.
So, run MP and see the console for the correct version number.

Ok, the 1.04 patch is on for MP.  It still crashes every time.

My brother reports SP to crash alot less often now, but still happens.  And MP is just useless right now.

I wonder if I'll ever be able to play online again...   :(   Ugh - come on, I'm sadder than that.  lol.

Ofcourse he's blaming Metal Gear Solid 2.  I don't think one game can negatively affect any others.  It's true that lately as we've tried JK2, it has been crashing, and lately I've installed and ran MGS2.  But, we haven't played JK2 for a little while before I bought MGS2, and we haven't started again until last week or so (I've played MGS2 for about a month now), so there is no way to really tell if the problem has been since MGS2.  It's just been lately.  And I don't know how to fix it.
