I am new to this forum but I have a small whish. I would like to add something to this discussion.
I think that RavenSoft is doing there best but that is not enough. There are thousands of moves for Sword/Staff fighting.
My wish is to atleast include many moves from certain schools of martial arts... Aikido, Iaido, Kendo, etc and etc...

This game is very close to it's release as it was said fall 2003 and here we are, in about one month. Including theese moves will be almost futile, but one still has hope.

There was a comment earler in this thread that was disapointed with the autoblocking. I would say make the autoblocking smarter and more efficient. Base autoblocking on the force.

Back to the topic here about lightsabers.
I would go for the one used my Darth Maul, the dubble blades. It is easier to block You can strike two opponents faster. If you concentrate on the one side of the doubble edged you will always know where the other side is going.
Maybe a longer cooldown on force skills or something but this is the fastest way to fight... I know have been training Staff for quite some while now. Staff is far superrior to Sword the only problem with the double lightsabre is that you can not grip to far out, then you would not have any fingers left, So it will be harder to thrust it. But it is laser so what the heck it cuts as well on the broad side.
