i'll tell you why, though its probably not bullseye's reason.

the reason its BS is because it is a UNRELEASE BETA DEMO ALPHA whatever. it not a real benchmark, and it won't be until they release the game. (or a benchmark suit built around it, and publicly release it)

Just suffered throught the slow DL's at HardOCP but here's the real deal. The Cat 3.4's are broken when it comes to running DOOMIII. They ran at 10fps no matter what the resolution. So they rolled back to Cat 3.2's which are crappier than 3.1's and it only gives you 128megs of functional memory on the 256 card. Cat 3.4's are required to use ALL 256 megs on that card. So the tests are not completely fair. Props to Nvidia for coming up with a good card this time though. It does still take two slots, and is WAY big. But it a good performer. The two new cards actually seem to run neck and neck in most areas. We'll see in late summer whats what.

Not released to the PUBLIC. And I made that post be4 I was able to load any pages from HardOCP. The reviews were coming down VERY slow. Yes, the benchmark, they said, was taken from the game and should reflect the final performance of the finished product. And I said the tests wern't "completely" fair. When is anything EVER completely fair?

Yeah that's it. And for your info, the 9800Pro is hardly beaten. Just wait matey, summer is'a comin'! I am not a FanATIc fanboy or an Nvidiot. I just wanna see the card I bought perform for at least 3-4 months on top. Is that to much to ask?
