I just bought Soldier of Fortune II : Double Helix for the Mac.  At the bottom of my game it says "Gold Edition".  Last night I tried to get into a particular game with my friend who also has Soldier of Forunte II: Double Helix but for the PC.  His doesn't say "Gold Edition" at the bottom of the screen.  We could never find each other either by searching for user names or by searching for particular servers.

My question is:  Are there different version of the game and if so does that mean we won't be able to play against each other?  Please enlighten me!

I prefer the ingame browser.  There are already enough sh!t talkers in the game.  I don't need more sh!t talkers in the lobby while i'm looking for a server.
