Absurd, we all know what Quake IV will be like: mainly SP. Now what do you need strafe jumping for in SP mode? I agree that strafe jumping is fun in MP, but it's useless in SP. That's my opinion.

If doesn't have suitable - Quake 3 level MP - than it's a complete waste of development time, and mockery of the Quake franchise and an insult to the Quake MP community.
