I have an athlon xp 2100+ with a gf4 ti4200.

I installed SOF2 today, and started it up, no problems, super high fps, I only found 2 servers, thats because I have the normal SOF 2 1.00, I found the 1.03  gold patch and I upgraded, and all #### broke loose, I start up the game, and it asked me for the cd key again, no problem, I clicked ok, but the whole menu is screwed up, all the text is gone, I cant see anything, all i see are the buttons on the bottom, I click them but nothing happens, there isnt any text anywhere, and I cant seem to get anything to happen when I click, I uninstalled and then installed it again, its now at 1.00 again, but its still like that, the menu is there, it is responsive, I see the diffrent highlighting things move around, but I cant actually click anywhere, and there isnt any text, and when I click the music stops for a second and then goes on. I have the detonator 43.45 drivers with DX9. what should I do?

Also, in singleplayer, the menu is screwed up too, but not as badly, some text is still there, one of the guages shows up in the middle of the menu, when I load the game, it looks fine, but I cant shoot, i click and nothing happens.

Is it because there is a normal SOF 2, and also an SOF 2 gold, and those are acutally slightly diffrent games? I only saw 1.03 gold, no other versions of 1.03 were there. I need help!

what type of gold patch did you install?

I installed 1.3 gold patch, but my game itself doesnt say gold on it, its just soldier of fortune.


Wiser told me some files are incorrectly installed, so im reinstalling it, but I doubt this will work....

its best to copy the files directly from the cd, the file wiser2 stops on is one of the corrutp ones.

OR
install the 1.01 patch first, then 1.02, andfinally 1.03 lite patch
