Doesn't SOF2 Run on 2 different engines? Ghoul II and Quake3. I think that's right.
Anyway, Half-Life 2 looks amazing, & not to sound like a newbie (I've played Counter-Strike for a long time until I got SOF2) but I never knew the story line of HL, someone back me up with some info, I'm understanding that it was about aliens invading the earth or something, and you're a guy called Freeman trying to rid it of them?

What's really amazing though is how I've been registered on these forums since August 2002 and I haven't posted on here till yesterday.  

Here is a brief description of what half life is about.

Ghoul 2 is a tech that changes the way models are rendered, Dismembers models, uses Skeletal anims, and allows much of the eye candy you see in game. (esp. in SP) it is a modification to the Quake 3 engine and is not a game engine in itself.
