Ok, I need help:

I start to play Level 1: Streets. I play it then the game crashes! I still hear sound in the background but the game is frozen. I have to restart the computer by just pushing the button on the mod. I go back to my destop, but the color's have changed! It all sucks. Luckily, I have a game called Redline that has high graphics that resetted the graphics back to normal and no more funky color! I exit Redline, enter SOF2, the same thing happens! I have to do all over agian! Help! I have Windows 2000, Pen.3, 3dfx voodo banshee(latest) video card, soundblaster, direct x 8.1, I turned off my Nortan Anti Virus Auto Protect and I have Cable made by SURF.

simple: ditch your voodoo #### and buy a new card

Ok, Can some1 just help me insted of saying get a new 1? I have SOF1 and last year it worked but we had a virus so we restarted comp now it dosnt. I'm sure this should work too and no, i never had a diffrent video card, just 3dfx.

well because of Voodoo cards' graphic technology limitations most new games doesn't really work good with voodoo cards anymore... so get a new card...
i can say that this crash is related to the voodoo card. OK, go to settings--->and select LOW END MACHINE setting.

Anymore help? omz is not helping. I cant understand what your saying. Settings? Low end? :-/

anyway go to SETTINGS, and there should be an option called "LOW-END MACHINE". Change that option to YES to let SOF2 run with the lowest setting. or just run SOF2 in safe mode from the start menu

ok... go to START--->PROGRAMS--->SOLDIER OF FORTUNE II--->Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix - Single Player (safe mode)

if that didn't work, install DirectX 9a. If installing dx9 still doesn't work, upgrade to windows xp or use windows 98SE. if that still doesn't work, just ditch that voodoo ####.

I have the same problem.  Well maybe not exactly the same.  While playing the game, in some point it got frozen, then quits to desktop.  My desktop color changes to very bright and dull color.  Either I have to restart or double click on the SOF2 Icon again but it happens just the same but I got an error message this time saying "sof2.exe has encountered an error."  UT3, RTCW and others works fine except SOF2, DH.

Asus V8200 Deluxe Geforce 3 not overclock either (43.00 driver)
512MB Kingston PC2100
Game Theater XP Sound Card
Logitech Extrusio DSR-100 Speakers
Windows XP Pro SP1 (DX9)
Water Cooling
No Anti Virus progi running, just plain gaming OS.
Temps:  38C idle, 43-44C full gaming

Any ideas guys?
