My game runs very slowly, loading takes too long and i get c+++ errors. Oh how i love this game.

My comp:
p 1.8
windows 2000
40 gb hd
512 ram
128 mg gforce 4 ti 4600
direct x 9.0
latest bios, chipset drivers, video driver( detonator 43.45)
audigy 5.1
games that run smoothly with this rig: Americas Army operations (im using resolution 1280x1024 and 32bit colour)
Delta Force black hawk down... to name a few.

My question is : How did i get this screwed? The game (sof2) recommends that i use resolutions like 800x 600 at the most. And the game still runs like my computer was a 100mhz computer. I ve tried all the solutions that these forums and the faqs offer but nothing helps(yes i have the patch too). One thing i refuse to do : degrade my settings(allthough ive tried that too). I didnt buy my gear for its capabilities but because im supposed to be able to use them. ANY HELP?
Multiplayer works fine.
Could a programmer plz tell me wich kind of system the crew that made this game used to play(or test) this game?? What makes this game so superb that my rig cant play this? Im very disappointed. I would really appreciate if i could get some honest answers or good advices.

I would complain to the computer manufacturer instead. I have pretty much the same setup, but my video card is an old Gforce2MX400. The game runs smoothly at 1024x768 with all the options maxed out and trilinear filtering (no fsa or vsync). :)

You may want to try 40.72 dets as they are Certified drivers

Microsoft list a runtime issue with FS caused by driver problems

I had a similar problem on a lan that was running Win2k.  I upgraded to service pack three and that fixed the problem.
