Finally after picking everyone's brain on this board Twitch and I have finished our map. It was made mostly as an Inf map but it also supports dm, tdm, ctf, elim, cctf, lastman, jihad.

Here are a couple screens (sorry for the quality):

We have submitted it to Soffiles but it hasn't had time to be posted yet. It can be downloaded HERE

Comments are appreciated and please be kind lol, we are old Halflife mappers so this is our first Q3 engine level.
Thanks guys!

Looks nice.
Good luck getting anyone to play it.

Most of the SoF community is unable to unzip a file let alone specify a destination directory.
I doubt many of them even know thay can PLAY a map that didn't ship with the game.

HA!

Yeah you can go inside! Has two floors and a "basement" style area in it.  Cs_Estate is what this level was patterned after. :D

Unfortunately a friend contacted me and told me that there is a problem with a clip brush and you can get to an area that you shouldn't be able to.  I thought I had all problems found and corrected before I released it.  Weird there is a problem with the clip though, he says it is like there isn't one there although when I check in the editor I have clips all the way around the perimeter. :s9:

@ DuHaSt! Everytime you release a map, you should do a Brush Cleanup with Gtk to eliminate phantom brushes.

I did. What is wrong? I ran it several times as a matter of fact and it always said nothing was removed.

I updated the map with the needed clip brush fix (they were not functioning correctly) and did a few other tweaks like adding a few more backpacks for ctf and such.
Try the new version and and if you are still seeing anything quirky please take a screenie of it and post it here or email it to me at duhast@fragdom.com .
Thanks all!!  :)

Yeah a little more information about the phantom brushes would be nice.  Brush cleanup had been run by both me and Duhast and nothing was found.

Cheers!

I should make a tutorial at modsonline.com for this ;)

Brush Cleanup under BobToolz can correct abnormal stretched brushes (take a look at the errors while loading a map!). But these arent serious errors which are affecting the game. Brush Cleanup is important for 'Phantom Brushes'. The tool dont removes them automatically. You must fly around and search for them. Possibly you must deactivate some view-filters.
