Unrelated to your problem, but Logitech has the 9.76 drivers out now for that mouse.  From what I've been seeing, they finally fixed 'em.  I also recently discovered that, once I had installed DX9, my MX500 had more functionality with just the default Windows drivers than it did previously with DX8, so I quit using the Logitech drivers altogether, and set in_mouse to "1" in SOF2.  SOF2 will then recognize the first 5 buttons, but not 6, 7, and 8.

:)

I'm using all ten buttons on my MX500 :p
But it comes at a sacrifice of some of your function keys (namely 3 through 8 inclusive)

Yes, nForce2 boards are very very picky about what RAM you put in them. Even when you get the recommended RAM for your board, it can still cause issues. Crucial is aware of the problem on their side, and MSI's boards also talk about the problem.

#### shame there's so many probs.....it's a nice chipset.

Now you know why PC game developers go nuts, because for the normal user, this type of crash would appear to be the Game's fault, and they are often very skeptical when you say that it could be a potential hardware problem...

As for your situation all I know is what I posted...I'm no expert:

The game crashed consistently w/2 256mb chips of DDR 400 speed Samsung and it works fine w/one 512mb chip of Samsung DDR 400 speed.

However it wouldn't even load a map in SOF2 or UT03 with the single stick of 512mb Micron.

The owner of the computer store I shop at told me that Crucial memory is just Micron memory with the Crucial name.

Good luck, and good trouble shootin'
