I had a lycos account, but it vanished a while back (I think lycos changed their setup), and after I re-registered, none of the images I uploaded were accessable. All I got was little red 'X', so I gave up. I have tried a few other free hosts, but they don't allow linking, or they re-size your images, or they remove the images I have posted as 'not appropriate'. What is inappropriate about an EF screen shot is beyond me... I guess I'll just have to try a few more sites until I find one that works for me. I'll check out the ones suggested here first, thanks guys. BTW thanks for the example Apprentice (and thanks for hosting Agent007), made my day that bit brighter!

an other option is to let other people host the pics for you

for example:
e-mail your screenshots to me and i will e-mail you the url's where i put the images on

Personally, I use the free service provided by VillagePhotos. For instance, my avatar is stored there. For sure, since this is free, there are some limitations: pics cannot weight more than 60Kb each + they cannot be downloaded externally more than 5Mb (e.g. via a forum) + you must log in to your account at least once per month. But it works very well and mostly it allows remote linking for free, which is rather scarce 2day
