i installed sof2, then gold patch had a lan party, all was good. played online pb complains download pbweb.exe it updates, or so it says played online pb complains pb_sv_enable 1 pb_sv_update pb still complains i delete pb folder, and reinstall gold path pbweb "no punkbuster files found at c:\gmz\sof2\Pb" riiiight, of course there isnt does anyone know where to download a ZIP OR AN EXE OF THE ENTIRE PUNKBUSTER SOFTWARE SUITE. the idea of pbweb is cool, i wish it worked.

I have wanted to format my system a couple of times already to get a fresh, clean install goin' on. I haven't. Reason: I don't think I'll get SoF2 back the same. With all these problems PB causes, I'm to afraid to re-install it and SoF2. So, until PB becomes a thing of the past, or is improved drastically, I wont reinstall SoF2 for my life. Sry I can't help ya Keef. Just need to put my 2 cents in

After a clean install you must enable PB, and possibly join/start a PB server, before pbweb.exe will work.

PB complains? About what? Please explain.

if you have a secondary hard drive or a cd burner just back-up your pb folder and sof2mp.cfg before you format/reinstall and your sof2 should be exactly the same as before.

Did you install Gold Lite or Full... if you do it from a fresh install it must be full.

thats crazy i never have a prob wit punkbuster, even after being absent from the community for months. when i got my dsl i reinstalled ., patched and joined in the fray without a problem. i have yet to have a pb related problem.

I always just save my Pb folder for a fresh install. pbweb works great tho.

If you download it to the folder and on the download dialog box you click "Open," it will not work. You MUST go into the folder manually and run it.

That's not really your problem, unless you are the one running the server.

What that message is saying is that the server you are on only has version 1.023, which isn't the latest. So it down grades you to 1.023.

Play on a different server. Use pb_sv_update to update your own server.
