toad, you still havin this issue? i've come to believe it is the router that is giving the problem, not the isp or game. of course now, for some reason, when i connect direct from NIC to cable modem i get no connection but have you tried playing while not using your router?

It has happened to me since the first Sof2 patch.  Reinstalling the game right now to see if that little 500 deal works.  =(

I say screwin around with your settings on your router... as long as nothin too important has been changed around, just don't forget about that button that's called reset... it's there in case you screw up.  I have had my share of problems, all firewall and router related.

i get the problem with or without the router...so, i'm back to guessing again. i've reinstalled 2k, tried a variety of nvidia drivers, 4 different drivers for my soundblaster, bought new cat5 cables, replaced my NIC, uninstalled and reinstalled sof2 countless times, used the latest (and other) 4-in-1 VIA drivers, installed the amd agp patch for 2k, set pb_system 1 (and 0) , pb_sleep 500...basically everything and anything i've read anywhere that could in the most remote way help to cause this, and i've still come up clueless as to the cause. some days it doesn't happen at all, some days it happens every 5 minutes...i'm amazed i'm still even playing this game as it is the only game i play that has this problem, but i guess that's just how cool this game is...

anyhow...hope someone can find a solution.



EDIT: oh yeah, wiser2 tells me my installation has no problems.
