Whether it's an exploit or hack doesn't matter that much to me. Anyone who'd use either is worthless. Whatever this is, it needs fixin'.

Clearly someone's used whatever this is to cheat. That negates the appropriateness of terms like "witch hunt" (which's most often used by cheat turds masking as legitimate players, in my experience).

they dont make it clear in that thread what the acused's reaction to that was, did they boast how they hacked the game? or did they just take advantage of a random bug? or whatever. its probally just one of these sporadic engion bugs that exist in all q3 games and will probally never be found, like the invisible player, everyone lookign at the cealing etc

this looks like a variation on a bug that happens in Urban Terror every so often- the 'white player' bug. Occasionally someone will show up on a server as a 'white' player, neither blue nor red- they won't register on the scoreboard or the frag board. Usually, one team can't damage them. Boo, and I was just bragging on their forums about how it doesn't happen in SoF2. i wouldn't sweat it Slappy, it's not a cheat, it's a bug. And I think it's inherent to the Q3 engine, because the SID guys haven't ever been able to track it down. It can be 'cured' by having the 'white player' reconnect to the server. - g

On a side note... a friend of mine was playing Day Of Defeat last night and suddenly a bunch of Half Life monsters and assassins showed up in the game and were fighting them. There were computer AI that just stood there and nailed them all with the weapons... now that would want to make we play DOD! Allies and Axis joining together to defeat a infestation of aliens in the middle of WW2 - that would be a smick game! I should have gotten him to take a secreenshot, but I believe what he says since he isn't the sort to talk #### like that. Ark

whoa... that's some pretty funny stuff there...11 kills in 5 mins with a score of 26 isn't bad at all... I'd sure like to know how that person did it!!!

btw, i searched this guy up on csports just to find out how much he's been exploiting this bug... or hack, or whatever you'd like to call it, and lets just say... he's not much of a threat on the ctf ladder with the ranking position of 86,104.!!!
